Botox®, Dysport®, and Filler Injection FAQs

Do injections hurt?

Injections involve puncturing the skin with a small needle, so it is impossible to say they are completely painless, but the pain is minimal.

Are Botox®, Dysport®, or filler injections safe while pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. You can not receive Botox®, Dysport®, or filler injections while pregnant or breastfeeding.

What happens if I stop getting Botox®, Dysport®, or filler injections?

Wrinkles returning is the only effect of quitting Botox® or Dysport® injections. When you stop injecting filler, the aesthetic effects also revert.

How should I care for myself after Botox®, Dysport®, and filler injections?

Avoid strenuous activity for the first 24 hours after injections. Limit caffeine intake and do not ingest alcohol or nicotine. Always avoid hot tubs, pools, and saunas. Remember to refrain from lying down for the first few hours after receiving injections. 

In what age range can you get fillers?

You are never too young or too old to receive filler injections. As long as you are a legal adult over the age of 18, you can get dermal filler injections.

How long do Botox®, Dysport®, and filler injections last?

The aesthetic benefits of Botox® and Dysport can last anywhere from 2 – 6 months but more commonly last within the 3 – 4 month range. Filler injections typically last about 6 – 12 months, but it varies from person to person depending on how quickly your body metabolizes the filler. Some have been known to last up to 2 years. 

Will Botox®, Dysport®, or filler injections make me look fake?

What are the most common side effects of Botox® and Dysport®?

Pain, bruising, and skin color changes in the area of the injection are the most common side effects. A less common side effect is headaches.

What is the difference between Botox® and Dysport®?

Both Botox® and Dysport® achieve the same results but come from different name brands. There are slight differences between the two, so we suggest talking to your technician on the day of your appointment to determine which option is best for you.

How long does IV Nutrition stay in your system?

The IV fluids will often remain in your system for a few hours after the infusion – but the nutrients received during the infusion can remain in your system for much longer, even up to months, depending on how quickly your body metabolizes them.

It is common to feel the maximum effects of IV Nutrition soon after the infusion and to continue feeling them for the next 12-24 hours. The nutritional benefits of the infusion will last longer depending on the unique system of your body.

Does IV cure a hangover?

Revive offers an infusion that helps to relieve the symptoms of a hangover. It is possible to feel the rejuvenating effects as soon as the infusion begins, but it is most common to feel them between two and four hours afterward.

Does insurance cover semaglutide?

At this time, Revive does not accept insurance, so semaglutide would not be covered.

What does a nutrition coach do?

A nutrition coach teaches their clients how to make smarter choices toward a more healthy lifestyle. 

How is functional medicine different from traditional doctor’s visits?
